“Passing the Time in Victorian Saratoga County” A visit to the Brookside Museum. April 22, 2026 1:00-2:00 PM.
What did people do for fun during the Victorian era? They certainly had plenty of events, activities, and organizations to choose from! Learn about the many fraternal groups, soirees, fairs, church socials, casinos, and academies that offered entertainment and enrichment. There will be time to view the extensive museum exhibits before and after the presentation.
Charlene DuBuque, Education Director at the Saratoga County History Center has over 15 years of experience in education, curriculum development, and history. She administers and delivers the popular school programs such as Sheep to Shawl, Native New York and Civil War Letters and continues to develop and enhance the Center's educational offerings for both youth and adults.
Brookside Museum, is located at 21 Fairground Avenue, Ballston Spa, N.Y. 12020. This program is provided to the public without charge due to a generous grant from the Clifton Park Action Fund.
